but I have to say that she is just the most beautiful baby, well at least to me she is...
I just love to snuggle with her. I love to place my face up against her cheeks and feel the softness of her skin. She is getting some long eyelashes and has the biggest dark brown eyes ever. I love to see her smile and show me those two teeth that she has..
She is teething some again. The night before her gums must have really itched because she scratched them so much they bled!! I gave her some Tylenol and some oragel and off to bed she went.
She seems like she is going to be wrestling with the boys in no time. She sees her daddy and big brother playing and the look on her face just says it all. She wants to jump right in there too. Russell plays with her as much as he can to make her feel included in the wrestling. She is such a ham!
Boy does she love bathtime! Last night she was getting fussy because she was tired but I was not ready to put her to bed. It was lil Russ's bathtime so I put him in the tub and I put Elysa on the outside of the tub and I let her hold on. She had fun. She loves the water. When she was a newborn she hated bathtime...she cried and cried each time. Now she loves bathtime. She loves to splash around.
My baby girl is so wonderful!!

She sleeps through the night
(knock on wood)
the past week she has slept though the night. I know that she really tires herself out during the day. She is trying to pull herself up and stand on her own. She is trying to hold her own balance and she is trying to crawl.
I put her to bed at 9:30 or 10:00 and the earliest she gets up is 5:30. I can live with that!!
She is eating like a pro! She wants that table food!!!
And she wants to play with everything that she is not soppose to play with, like my cell phone and the remote to the TV. I cant leave her on the bed anymore because she is so mobil!! My Elysa is really getting around!!
Last night she was laying on the bed and lil Russ was just making her laugh so hard! I love to see them play together...I just love to see the love that they have for eachother.

She was sick last week...
Wednesday night she had a horrible night. She cried and cried on and off for half the night. Nothing would calm her down. She cried when I held her, she cried when I put her down. We spent the night on the couch. I took her to the doctor yesterday afternoon after checking up on her at the sitters. She had not eaten anything either. Only four ounces since last night and no wet diapers. As soon as I saw her face I know that something was not right, that was not my normal little baby girl....
So we go to the doc in hopes that they can take me without an appointment and they did. Doc said that she has an ear infection on her right ear and her throat is red and irratated. She was given antibiotics and put back on the breathing treatments...I also have to push fluids into her so she does not get dehydrated.
We had a bad night last night too...she was not crying as much but she could not sleep because of her cough. She would cough so hard that she wails in pain. I felt so useless for her because I could not take her pain away...
but....
She is doing so much better. It is amazing how fast those antibiotics kick in. She is smiling and laughing and playing...OH I am so happy!!
here is Elysa Thursday night...(the day she went to the doc)You can see it in her face how sick she feels..
and this is her Saturday!! She needed a bath since she had a diaper explode...made a big big mess...
I am just so happy to have my baby full of smiles back!!

Elysa had a bad bad night last night. She did not sleep well at all. I am not sure what was bothering her. She had been sleeping really good lately. She was up at 11pm and back down at 11:30. She got up again at 2:30am and I dont even remember when it was we fell back asleep on the couch. The second time she got up she was crying and I could not figure out why! It was starting to scare me so I went to see my grandma who was still up. I sat down and she started laughing and playing. I was like, oh no little girl, we are going to bed!! She fought me for a little bit but we both finally fell asleep. I am so so tired!!!
At least it is friday. I hope to get some rest this weekend. Tomorrow we are going to get breakfast and then go to the Rodeo Parade! I am so excited. It is the first time for the kids to go. We should have some fun!!!

Daddy has come a long way with Elysa
Russell has come a long way with Elysa. At first she did not want anything to do with him. Now it is a totally different story. She laughs and smiles with him. He plays with her. He carries her alot. It is just a complete turn around. I thing a lot has to do with the fact that he takes her and picks her up from the sitter's house. I knew that would benifit them both. It took lil Russ as a baby a while to warm up to his daddy too. I am not sure why this has happened with them. But it does not matter now because things are different now. Life is just so much better now.
Yesterday I took the kids out with me to get out of the house while Russell got some work done. We went to the Thrift Store just to look around. She was so good. I had no problems. She is so adorable that people would stop and say that I have such a beautiful baby. She smiles at everyone. She is such a ham! Oh I love her so much!!
Here they are playing together....I love my family!!

Elysa loves her bathtime now...
Elysa loves her bathtime! When she was a newborn she hated to take a bath, so I did not bathe her as often as I should have. But now that she is older she loves it! She loves to splash in the water with her feet! It is such a beautiful sight. She looks so happy! She even fusses a little when it is time to get out. I love the smell of her after her bath. The smell of my kids right out of the tub is one of my favorite smells. Elysa is just so wonderful! The look on her face as she lays in my arms as I rock her to sleep is embedded in my brain forever. That is one of the memories that I will always remember. That look of total content to be where she is at, at that moment. I could never fully explain how I feel when she is in my arms. How peaceful she looks with her eyes closed and her face pressed against my chest. That is one of those moments that makes being a mom so worth it. That is one of the moments that you know all the pain and being uncomfortable for those last few months of being pregnant is all worth it. She makes my life worth something. I know that my life has meaning now.
I swear I could take pictures of her every day...I never get tired of looking at that face...

lil Russ was helping my grandma clean the kitchen. I hope he is this helpful when he gets older!
Here is my big ham for the camera. I just love that chubby smile!! Her hair is still on backorder...
She was pooped after playing with me!! This is how she fell asleep.
I see my baby girl and I feel so lucky to have her in my life. She was the baby that I did not want to have. I am so ashamed to say that now. My intentions in life were to only have one child. I had a miserable childhood with a little brother and I did not want one of my kids to have to endure such horror as I did. When I found out I was pregnant I was in tears. I was so upset to be pregnant.
But now I see her, I see her smile at me, I see the comfort in her face when I hold her close, and I cant imagine my life without her. She is one of the reasons that I am still alive today. She has made me realize just how lucky I am. I could not ask for a better daughter and I love her with all of my heart...
